Planning your outfit is fun, and your hairstyle will complete your entire look. If your hairstyling skills are limited to ponytails and plaits, don’t worry — I’m here to help.

Whether you're attending a Christening, the races, a prom, or celebrating an anniversary, leave the stress of hairstyling to me, and enjoy your special occasion to the fullest.
I mainly work from my home salon just outside Derby, though I also offer on-location services for larger events. Prices start from £50 per person, with styling sessions typically taking 60 to 90 minutes depending on the style, hair length, and texture.

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?
Not unless you plan on wearing a specific accessory, like a headband, hat or hair slide. I also have a selection of hair flowers available at my home salon for you to choose from!
Should I wash my hair before my appointment?
No, it’s actually best to have ‘day-old’ hair. Freshly washed hair can be too soft and slippery to hold a style. Wash and blow-dry your hair the night before, and make sure it’s fully dry. If you have oily hair and need to wash it daily, try wash it earlier in the day and dry it thoroughly. Avoid using gels and straighteners in your hair as this can affect the curling process.
Can I straighten my hair before my appointment?
It’s best not to straighten your hair before your appointment. Using heat on your hair beforehand can break the bonds in the strands, making it difficult to style with heat again. I recommend simply blow-drying your hair to prepare for styling.
Can I have any hairstyle?
Most styles are achievable, but the look will depend on your hair’s length and texture. If a style isn’t suitable, I’ll recommend an alternative that works best for you. If you have thick or long hair, please let me know when booking so I can allocate more time for your appointment.
How long will my styling session take?
Appointments typically take between 60 and 90 minutes, including the consultation. More complex styles like Hollywood waves on long hair will take the longest to complete.
What if I can’t make it on the day of my event? Can I have my hair styled the day before?
Yes, I offer styling the day before your event! This is perfect for vintage hairstyles, which rely on structure and can last overnight. After styling, I’ll place a hairnet on your finished style and use clips to hold your hair in place. I'll also give you tips on how to protect your hair while sleeping and how to refresh it on the day of your event.
